This is Cacao in pure form, utilized by ancient civilizations for thousands of years in ceremony and celebration.
Cacao, the Amazonian fruit had already been used 5,500 years ago in the Alto Amazonas, of Peru.
OUR CEREMONIAL CACAO
Our Cacao criollo, native from Chazuta
has all its natural Cacao butter and natural Theobromina inside
From the Cacao bean to the block
This Cacao is not industrial, it has been processed as little as possible, taking care of the fermentation process, drying in the sun on high wooden tables and a light roasting to make it apt for consuming. It is important that the roasting is just light and gentle to the Cacao, to preserve the variety of aromas, flavors and original depth of the delicious Cacao fruit.
This Cacao doesn't go through a tempering process
What is tempering?
Is a process to make chocolate: To make the crystals look uniform with a solid colour, melting the cacao, controlling its temperature curve, cooling, heating and cooling to have a perfect uniform color.
Each Cacao block is unique, has it natural beautiful shapes, handcrafted in small batches.
Directly from the Cacao bean to the stone grinder, to this beautiful natural wild Cacao block.
For Cacao ceremonies we recommend to use our Cacao block ❤️️
“ I want to share that this cacao is really special to me, both from its energy and its taste.
I enjoy drinking it with nothing but water and a little cayenne and vanilla, which is not the case for most cacaos I tried.
And the heart opening, clarity, beauty that emerges is really deep.
Thank you!”

“When Amada Selva's Cacao was in my hand, I felt the love and care that went into its preparation. Rosy takes care in detail of that little piece of Peru that fills your heart and spirit.
Grateful for the aroma when cooking it, the taste when sharing it and the beautiful ceremonies with this wonderful Cacao” Miquel
“Cacao acts as a vasodilator of the cardiac tissue, helping to open our heart.
As it opens the anatomical space of the heart, it creates an opportunity for our energetic heart to open as well, offering us a doorway to the deeper places where healing is needed”

What is Ceremonial Cacao?
Cacao has Ceremonial grade when it has been worked in awareness of the preservation of nature, flora, fauna, water and rivers.
Ceremonial Cacao is as unprocessed as possible, the Cacao butter is not removed from the Cacao beans, and comes from a cacao forest, native to the Amazon or Central America.
A wild forest with the spirit of the jungle ♡
Ceremonial Cacao has not been "tempered" (process that makes the Cacao crystals look uniform with a solid colour as chocolate, melting the cacao by controlling its temperature: cooling, heating and cooling to have a uniform color)
The Cacao seeds go to a stone grinder, which by friction the seeds become liquid and at room temperature solidifies, listo! ♡
This Ceremonial Cacao is the fruit of a work in harmony with nature, elaborated in our small family farm. Our Cacao is prepared with heart, taking care of nature to bring a high quality Cacao, its has its natural Cacao butter and all the natural Theobromina inside.
Each Cacao block is unique, has it natural beautiful shapes, handcrafted in small batches. Directly from the Cacao seed to the stone grinder, to this beautiful natural wild Cacao block.
Cacao in pure in traditional form, utilized by ancient civilizations for thousands of years in ceremony and celebration.
Anandamide is known as the bliss endorphin as it is released while we are feeling joy.
It has only been found in Cacao. Cacao helps to open our heart, to connect with ourselfs and nature, to gratitude.
Your Cacao order is supporting many families in Chazuta and the continuation of this ancestral work in Peru.
