  • What is Ceremonial Cacao? 

- It is minimally processed, with no added sugars or chemicals.
- It comes from high quality criollo or native seeds.
- Cacao has Ceremonial grade when it has been worked in preservation of nature, flora, fauna, water and rivers.  
- Ceremonial Cacao is as unprocessed as possible, the Cacao butter is not removed from the Cacao beans,
and comes from a cacao forest, native to the Amazon or Central America. A wild forest with the spirit of the jungle.
- Ceremonial Cacao has not been "tempered". True ceremonial Cacao is untempered.
- It is consumed in ritual contexts.



  • Cacao recipe

- Connect with the spirit of Cacao 🤎
- Heat the water -max 60°C-  ( please be careful not to exceed this temperature )
- Bring your Cacao (30 gr) (2 tablespoons) in a small cup (110ml)
add warm water, honey and mix with a blender or by hand
- Find a comfortable place to enjoy your Cacao ritual ✨️

Suggestions:
- Start taking Cacao in small doses (20g per cup)
- Cacao is a good replacement for Coffee.
- Best to consume Cacao between meals, on an empty stomach.
- If you want to use Cacao in a ritual way, never mix it with milk! because it changes its properties.



  • What is Cacao Criollo ?

Cacao Criollo is one of the rarest and most prized varieties of cacao (Theobroma cacao) in the world. It’s often called the “King of Cacao” because of its superior flavor, low bitterness, and cultural significance.

Flavor Profile:

- Delicate, complex, and aromatic flavors
- Less bitter and less astringent than other varieties
- Has notes of fruit, nuts, caramel

Low yield, High Quality:

- Criollo trees are fragile and disease-sensitive
- They produce lower yields compared to other types of cacao
- This makes Criollo rare and expensive



  • Where does the Cacao plant originally come from?

The cacao plant (Theobroma cacao) originally comes from the upper Amazon basin, specifically in parts of Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, and Brazil. This region is considered the cradle of cacao, where wild varieties of cacao trees were first cultivated by ancient peoples over 5,000 years ago. The cacao plant originated in the Amazon basin, its cultural and ceremonial importance blossomed in Mesoamerica. 
The ancestral home of Cacao is South America 🌈️



  • Ceremonial Cacao effects

Ceremonial Cacao can promote the natural release of dopamine and serotonin.
It gives you a gentle effect of joy, confidence, focus.

Ceremonial Cacao and neurotransmitters
Ceremonial Cacao (not industrially processed) contains compounds

  • Why cacao is a Sacred plant?

The Maya believed cacao was a gift from the gods.
Cacao trees are sacred trees, symbolizing the World Tree (axis mundi) in Maya cosmology,
which connected the heaven, earth, and underworld.

In the Popol Vuh (Maya creation myth) Cacao is mentioned alongside other sacred plants like maiz.
The cacao plant is seen as a bridge between the physical world and the spiritual world.
By consuming cacao or offering it in rituals, the Maya and Aztec peoples create a sacred connection
with their deities. Sacred rituals rooted in the cosmology, mythology, and agricultural life of the ancient Maya.

The most ancient cacao
The civilization that built the temples in Peru and Ecuador is more than five thousand years old and would be the birthplace of cacao. Its remains are located in the binational Chinchipe-Marañón river basin. A spiral temple was discovered in Montegrande, Peru and another in Palanda, Ecuador. 
In the center of the spiral it has been find vessels with Cacao, the origin of the remains is 5,500 years ago.
